Never heard of Aurum so I don't know if it is good or bad, but you can never go wrong with Seasonic.

gaming? no need for 16GB of ram or an i7, save some money get an 1440p screen, thats what i would do... seasonic all the way, never cheap out on a PSU (or buy brands youve never heard of before)

Both are good PSU's & both companies produce very good power supplies, but in this case FSP Aurum is better, it's 80+ gold & Aurum series are very good.

Here is Linus's video about it:

I agree, no one should cheap out on PSu, but FSP is one of the leaders in power supply producing along with Seasonic & Enermax.

Seasonic isn't better quality. They are both equally good, but in this case FSP is gold & SS bronze, so FSP is better from those 2 psu's.

The Seasonic is only 2/3 the price of the FSP in N. America. Hardly an apples to apples comparison. The price comprable Seasonic would be the X Series X-650W Gold.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

The seasonic is better, because it have better and more dense components. The FSP also had too tiny heatsinks to cool effectively.

Where are you buying from? What's your budget?

Both aren't bad at all. They're both group-regulated and has modularity. The S12II does perform better electrically, while the Aurum has a higher output which allow you to potentially SLI and it is Gold certified so it would save a little on your electricity bill (how much depends on where you are from) and produce less heat (fan doesn't need to spin up as often and less heat being exhaust into your room).

It my opinion if you legitimately need a 750w unit, I wouldn't go with the Aurum due to it being a group regulated design. Something like the Seasonic SS-***AT/AM would be a better option due to the usage of DC-DC for the minor rails which will give you better voltage stability at a larger range of loads. In which I would look at the FSP Aurum Xilencer or Aurum Pro, if you were to go with FSP.

Regardless, since your motherboard doesn't support for SLI, spending more money on a higher wattage unit isn't exactly worth it. In the US, the M12II 620w is in the $85 price point.A good 550w unit such as the Rosewill Capstone 550-M, Seasonic G SSR-550RM, and Cooler Master V550S (which isn't available in the US atm) would would be a better deal than it. But your options may differ than mine if you live in Australia or whatever, so I can't just recommend any just yet without you answering the question I had asked.

Well, without knowing what other options is available to you, I can't tell you if that's the best PSU you can get for the money. Between the three you are looking at, the best power supply is the Seasonic X 650w.

The last thread deal with the same subject. No need to create a new thread each and every time a new option is available.

Out of all of the three units you had picked, the Seasonic X is the best quality / performing PSU.
