Tesla are really pushing the Electric car towards being a great alternative.. but they are nowere near fit to become police cars yet.

I think that would be a boom for Tesla. I think their cars are an awesome piece of engineering despite the negative media attention that the fires have gotten.

If they don't catch fire in the middle of a chase... No that probably won't happen, but I have a thing against quiet cars. It just wouldn't be the same if I didn't hear the roar of the Challenger and the siren going down my street. Again. If anyone wants a tip, don't live next to a hospital.

They better buy some Audi R8 e-tron. It has 3,320 pound feet of torque, I expect it to make 0-60 in 2 seconds. Although I don't know how far Tesla batteries reach, the Audi travels about 150 miles when fully charged.

Dude I wish they had impreza's around here I mean then they could actually get to places and get to them reasonably quick. I mean to me it seems like the perfect car for wisconsin. I kinda wish my city had them so they would stop getting suv's.

Yes sadly but new muscle cars really arnt the muscle cars of the past their just styled like them sadly (once again). They probably claim their needed to chase down the people going 90 where they shouldnt or what ever.

Well the performance out of the Teslas is impressive so thats a good thing for cop cars plus think of the money they will save on fuel in the long run... I was watching something recently where they worked out that fully filling a talk of a electric car worked out at the same price at the petrol did for 1 litre. I would imagine that an entire fleet over a few years day in day out world save a lot. Plus electric cars are mechanically less complicated as there are less moving parts so less maintenance would probably be a thing
