Guys I bought
Zotac GTX 1060 6GB amp!
Now it doesn't have a VGA connector [I know I shouldn't be on VGA, but I'm on the process of upgrading and it'll take some time].
Can anyone suggest a way to use this card with VGA monitor.
Thanks.

You'll need a simple DVI to VGA adapter. I am not sure exactly which one, so I'll let other's chime in here.

With an active displayport to VGA adapter maybe?

Doesn't work with the GTX 1060 as the 1060 doesn't output an analog signal...

DVI to VGA adapter will fix it. Do not use an HDMI adapter you will not get as clear as an image.

I've been reading bad reviews and something about active & passive converters. So I'm kinda confused.

Its DVI-D so no VGA there. Best is Displayport to VGA. 10-15$ max.

Get a displayport to VGA adapter. Usually the cheapest and really never fails.

No, a simple 3 USD DVI to VGA adapter won't work. The GTX 1060 doesn't have DVI that carries analog signals (which you need for a passive DVI to VGA adapter)

that wont fit in OP's videocard, if you look up any picture of the GTX 1060 you will see the DVI port doesn't have those 4 pins on the right.

This physically wont even fit.

do a passive DVI dual link to VGA, i have one of those and a nice VGA cable and i can push more overclocks using that then i can with single link DVI :D VGA is pretty good as long as you have a decent cable(but dont go out and buy a $100 VGA cable lol)

*edit*

all i said is irrelevant, you dont have a dual link DVI

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Forget DVI. Use HDMI or Displayport to VGA. HDMI are cheaper, but DP is generally better.

I used the picture as a reference but yes gtx 1060 uses DL-DVI. And he will need DL-DVI to VGA

It just blows my mind why they would use a DVI-D since a DVI-I can do both digital and anolog.

single or dual link doesn't matter now, you're recommend a DVI-I adapter to someone who has a videocard with only a DVI-D version of DVI.

Can you link an active DP to VGA converter?
