AMD RX 490 briefly appeared as a suggested GPU for Fallout 4's new high-res texture pack

The errant card was listed alongside the GTX 1080, but the Radeon listing has now been removed from the site and it now reads:

Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
Intel Core i7-5820K or better
GTX 1080 8GB
8GB+ Ram
As well as a beefy processor and graphics card you're also going to need another 58GB of spare storage capacity too.

Some of you noticed this in my original thread here, so I pulled a source and made a separate thread for ya!

 

If this is all legit, then the 490 must be out soon if Bethesda is already using it to test texture packs for a year old game. Either way we shall see what happens in the coming months, but hey they compared it to the 1080 so that is a good sign.

It most likely was a typo, I don't really think  we will see any RX 490, just gonna wait on for Vega to see a new GPU from AMD.

Or they're just taking a guess that Vega might be called the 490, after all the Nvidia suggested card is a 1080, and vega is meant to match that.

Vega will probably just be RX 500 series.

But a typo would mean they meant to type 480 or 400. Both of those seem unlikely. Why would they call it 400 and a 480 is most definitely way weaker than a 1080 under any circumstances.

Because the game needs 8gb of vram to run optimally?
