Call of Duty Ghosts more than $1 Billion sales in One Day !!!! Why?

EDIT: So apperantly it didn't sell so much copies that's just how much they shiped to the retailers.

1. Make a game, add new tiny features every year.

2. Lot's of PR   Ghosts, a cool name for the 11 year olds and dogs

3. Release a bad, extremely overhyped game

4. $$$Profit$$$

edit: seriously that shit is just to biased because i doesn't make sense blops 2, mw3 reached 1B$ in 15 days and all of the sudden one year later they made that in one day, FFS this bullshit at its finest not even EA pulls a scam (because that what this series became) like this also their game keeps very high prices through the year blops 2 ATM on steam is 60$ that something no one does by this time most game are under 30$ this is the reason i hate activision more that EA  :angry:

BF4 and Ghosts... It's like sims and arcade games... I enjoy Black Ops 2 (still less than BF4 though), but not getting Ghosts...

Activision's just too big to fail.  No matter how stale the series becomes, there are more than enough people out there who think CoD is the greatest series ever to sustain the hype train and drive more and more sales.

 

It's like Apple.  It doesn't matter what Apple does with its product line, it will sell millions upon millions every launch because of its sickeningly loyal fanbase.  I can't say Apple's been rehashing things as badly as Activision/Infinity Ward, but the analogy still stands.

 

I just don't understand why people keep paying $60+ year after year for the same damn game.  If everyone and their friends just said, no, we're going to keep playing Black Ops 2, Activision would feel the hit.
