I replied to a status update that since sparked a HUGE discussion, now I have hundreds of notifications and any useful notifications are drowned.

Where you see your nick and down arrow top right, then Manage Followed Content

Top right, box with down arrow.

Select what thread or select All

then bottom of screen, bell with up arrow

select what you want to do

Note - When you click all and if it fills all 25 you can add to the original 25 by clicking on next page and click all again, do as many times as need... then unfollow or whatever else you want to do from the list.

Very helpful.

Not sure how you do it as you go, like when you type out a reply or start your own thread.

You are welcome corrado33

There isn't any way to unsubscribe from a single status update. You either turn off notifications for all status updates or just suffer.

Yeah that doesn't seem to work. I can't find the status update, only forum topics. Even if I click through all the things on the left, the status update isn't there...

How do I unsubscribe from updates from a status update?

Quote
  • Allow unfollowing individual status updates
That would make a lot of sense, but unfortunately it's not something we can change. It has been suggested to the forum software devs several times though, so it may happen eventually.

Account Settings -> Notification Settings (it's on the right side of Overview) -> Profit

Agh, I'm sorry about that man. My status updates usually become a huge shitpost fest. Didn't mean to annihilate your notifications.

Last thing we need is another multi- vs single-rail status update.

I'd explain but it'd be so much of a derail I don't want to.

@colonel_mortisDo status updates have a reply limit?

As far as I am aware, there are no realistic limitations on the number of replies that a status can get, no.

I just tried to tag a bunch of people and failed to do so for whatever reason. Total side note, is there any reason that if you tag more than two people in a row the tagging system with "@" often breaks and you need to reload the page to tag people?

Thank you for the info though, guess we won't be testing it in the near future then xD

I have a similar problem too. Sometime I have to edit the post to tag the second person
