Is the forum slow for anybody else?

Droidbot

the forum is being really slow tonight. it's a 50/50 chance on if my notifications will work, and it seems to be just the forum. youtube, pcpp, etc seem to work perfectly fine but linustechtips.com seems to load forever.

this happening to anyone else or is it just my internet being shit

idk

It has actually been faster today than it has been for me in a long time, especially loading profiles goes pretty quickly now.

Can you go to https://linustechtips.com/cdn-cgi/trace and paste the last 4 lines (colo, spdy, http, loc) here. If anyone else is also experiencing slowness, can you do the same?

According to that, you are in Australia but connected to a datacenter in Hong Kong, which is then connecting to our server in Canada. The fact that you haven't been connected to an Australian datacenter suggests to me that there must be something screwed up with your network, or your ISP is doing something strange.

What's your ping to this site (which is actually just your ping to the datacenter)?

HTTP/2 203

figured as such. hk has around 125ms ping from my home in sydney. from my ADSL line at my mum's house I get put onto SYD instead. it's fine now, thanks. I think SYD was down last night till this morning and HKG was under significantly higher load as a result.

idk

Hey, for some reason it's connecting me to HKG now, even when I'm in AU?

How do I force connection to a datacenter?

idk
