Will be sure to pickup an R9 280X!

Don't, get the 7970 instead, it is the same card, cost the same or less, but you get 1 game more than with an 280x, so keep a lookout for 7970 deals

Will be back up tomorrow morning.

If there was a way for me to schedule uploads without setting it to private, I would do that. Unlisted would be better so you guys can see it.

Actually 7970s have been rising in price, and a 280x is about 5% faster

I get that, but the real world performance is not that different, same as 680/770, it just might be cheaper, but with the 7970 you get 1 game more i believe, so if it's cheaper, why not?

I agree it does make a lot of sense to just buy the cheaper card. I'm just pointing out the 280x might perform slightly better.

Yeah that is a big problem of @Linus and @Slick they do not benchmark enough cards to see more results. i would see more cards in the benchmarks that is going to be better in my opinion.

Test in multiplayer guys... prefferably with FX 83xx and i5 (two setups), test GTX 770/780 as well as r9 280x/290/290x and see what happens. In multiplayer GeForce destroys Radeons due to better drivers... smaller CPU overhead because GeForce drivers are multithreaded.
