Show Off Your Old Tech!

ionbasa

I swear some of the people in this thread have posted stuff they own, but don't actually use regularly. Some of these are newer than others...

RCA Lyra

iPod shuffle 1st Gen

Gameboy SP

iPod touch 1st Gen (I am posting from it right now)

I do have some older stuff (computers, consoles, peripherals) that will be seeing daily use, just not yet.

Probably the oldest piece of tech i still use would be an old 80 mm fan i recycled from a 1998 computer and put into my new build, its noisy but i needed the airflow to keep things cool. Other than that, the oldest thing i use, on occasion, is my Gateway NE56r31u laptop from a few years back.

Oh no don't get me started, I'll just say everything I use tbh... I still use Windows Vista Ultimate as my main os, Windows 98 on a Pentium II system for PC DJ, Walkman and Mix Tapes... I'm to retro :D

Stepping up to the S2 is a huge difference. Mine runs Lollipop surprisingly well. Only downside is battery life, but that's likely also due to the battery being 3 years old.

Because it's and S2, you can replace the battery fairly cheaply and easily.

The oldest tech thing I use regularly must be my stereo I use as a radio, and speakers for my pc and ps4. Works and sounds excellent, so no need to replace. Hell, it even has a cassette tape player on it, and I use that regularly to listen to my few remaining cassettes I have laying around. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the younger members of the forum don't know what a cassette tape is.
