Not for me this card is stupid easy to keep under 100C It hits 70C at most with a mild overclock.

After battling with my computer to maintain a stable clock speed and not clock itself down, I managed to pull pretty much every last bit of power out of my stock 770. I highly doubt it will go any higher than this considering I had it at 1.3V running at 68C thanks to it being so cold in here I had to leave the room while the benchmark ran :P

If you beat it I don't know if I will be able to go any higher, I don't think my GPU gets enough power to add more voltage LOL, good luck!

I've got BIOS modding at my finger tips also so the only thing that will affect me at this point is temps. and overclocking headroom on my cards.

If only I could BIOS mod :/ oh well I probably need to go to water cooling to get much more out of mine, I've seen someone get 60.8 on a 770 so if you get higher than that you deserve a serious handshake (and you're gonna have to send me that BIOS :P)

I wish I could bios mod my cards, seeing as I have a dual bios card and all but mine seem to have a hard voltage lock.

So was I but with the TDP limit for my card being 300W I have pulled about 280W at any one time. but that was just messing around with the core clock.

That probably is the reason my card isn't getting enough power and down clocks if I attempt any higher voltages actually

hey how did you get your voltage to stable at 1.3? i apply 1.3v but it drops to 1.25v when i start to use GPU ( tryed the MSI afterburner hack but that only allows me to get to 1.3v but not the stable volts ) using sky's bios for 780 Direct CU2

maybe you know kingcry ? i am useing sky's unlocked bios with 150% power limit and the 1.212v then i use msi afterburner with the hack to get 1.3volts in the settings but when i run benchmarks or use the card the Voltage drops to 1.25v. there is some stuff that people have posted but its mostly for msi afterburner beta 16 that does not run anymore. any ideas on how i can get a stable 1.3v ?

I'm a bit tired of the benchs by now, so I'll run the rest tomorrow maybe. What's left for me to run is CF disabled, basic mode, with and without OC.

Conclusions:

The HD 6850 1Gb GDDR5 is an amazing card. It has aged perfectly fine and can handle most current-gen games at decent fps with medium to high presets @1080p. As someone who doesn't care to play at 30fps as long everything is max out, these cards in crossfire without OC are pretty good. But not everything is perfect, in some games, maxing everything will result in less than playable fps (Hitman absolution for example ran under 20-15fps) so it's time for an upgrade, and as I've posted recently, I'm looking forward the new GTX 970 in a single card configuration to replace my CF.
