Unigine Valley Benchmark Scores Thread + SUPERPOSITION ***Over 1000 Submissions!***

Jumper118

use this version of gpu tweak it lets you play with the voltage like your suppose to be able to, the newer version seem to limit the voltage and do weird things

That didn't work either.

That really sucks man I guess that's why I have like all those power phases to get the extra voltage

Well multi card configs really shine at larger resolutions but I really think that something is amiss with your system as my system with two 760's got 3452. That is a sizable gap and just two 7950's shouldn't be too far behind my cards.

Easy way to find out is to open up three instances of GPU-Z and set the usage to report maximum and run a bench. That will tell you what's going on.

that was a good guess by me saying 1.8 cards then. it would seem you have a bottleneck somewhere.

CPU + poor tri-fire scaling

Everyone told me a 8350 would work..

Scaling for 3-way sucks from what I was told.

The 8350 does "work" in that it runs, it just doesn't do it very well. That's why you should get many varying opinions on something if you're not sure about it yourself.

So if I went with an intel , lets say 4690K would I have a better score and equal load on the cards ?

That would reduce if not get rid of your CPU bottleneck but a large limiting factor would still be the scaling and that varies depending on the game/bench.

it should easily be enough. try changing the Crossfire mode to AFR (alternate frame rendering) and turn off frame pacing.

So it its going to come down to scaling at the end?

I was aware scaling for 3 way wasn't great.

In order to do that I would need to make a profile in the CCC?

Even with an overkill CPU the scaling in a program will determine what kind of performance you will see with multi card setups. That's why 4way SLI is worse than 3 way in crysis 3 even with an intel extreme i7 overclocked to Gaben, the 4 way scaling is awful hence why there is no performance gain. Scaling past two cards these days is better than it used to be but still not great, it seems that the 7xxx series scaling for Unigen is pretty poor.

okay I understand now.

So it depends on the program/software how well multi-gpu scaling would be?
