I'm a bit tired of the benchs by now, so I'll run the rest tomorrow maybe. What's left for me to run is CF disabled, basic mode, with and without OC.

Conclusions:

The HD 6850 1Gb GDDR5 is an amazing card. It has aged perfectly fine and can handle most current-gen games at decent fps with medium to high presets @1080p. As someone who doesn't care to play at 30fps as long everything is max out, these cards in crossfire without OC are pretty good. But not everything is perfect, in some games, maxing everything will result in less than playable fps (Hitman absolution for example ran under 20-15fps) so it's time for an upgrade, and as I've posted recently, I'm looking forward the new GTX 970 in a single card configuration to replace my CF.

Link to that post -> http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/249959-requesting-advice-to-upgrade-hd-6850-cf/

the hd6850's are very decent cards, their 1gb does hold them back at 1080p though :)

PowerColor R9 280 CrossFire stock

thats a good score considering they are stock 2nd highest 280/7950s, but your going to have to have a decent oc to beat the top 7950.

I was surprised at that score, my 760's hit 3507 but they were OC'd so im thinking these will do really good. One problem tho is that they are very close so the top card hit 95c at stock lol im going to take the backplate off the bottom card so that will give it another 1/4" to breathe.

I only paid $310USD for both :)

I'd run the cards solo find out what both cards max clocks are then crossfire and set it up for the lowest cards max

Antec Formula 7 Nano Diamond

damn...  thats a touch more expensive than the tuniq tx-4 I use. I tried to find a round-up with the antec 7 with no luck, must be fairly new still.

*edit* nevermind, found a german site that tested it, not too shabby.

Our systems aren't that different, must just come down to clocks.

They are not matching sticks. So no.

But you can get 12GB (8+4GB) in dual channel.

Also, hold off on my score, I am getting mid 3200s now.
