@Jumper118 @KingCry I had to RMA my MSI 7950, and it only took 2 weeks, but I had to pay for shipping. The best customer service by far is EVGA.

bought a brand new 7970 lightning BE. it was artifacting at stock. i had to pay for shipping and they sent me a doa card after 4 weeks. :/ ended up sending that back and buying one off ebay....... which did th same thing 3 months later

I think I might call it for now, need a better CPU or winter to push even higher clocks before I can get any more. There's still ExtremeHD at least, but I need either water or winter for that.

Spoke to a guy I know that hit 1850 on a 980 Classy on water with a universal GPU block 1.5v DMM & 24c ambient with 1320mm rad space.

 

He said I should be able to do the same since my ambient will be lower. xD

 

Don't wanna get my hopes up to soon tho, we will see.

you might get there but I been reading a lot and it seems that maxwell does not scale as much as kepler did on water. 30c and under is where it looks like it starts to gain over air cooling.

but I know you know all this all ready :)

 

you need a pot and some LN2 now :)

 

on a side note have my KingPin 780ti and my water blocks will start the madness soon :)

Havin issues with classified tool, when I try to add volts it crashes driver when I put it under load.

I can run 1600/8750 no issue in valley, if I try to add volts with classified tool it crashes like 5 sec into benchmark, as it driver doesn't like something.

 

 

Also I think the driver I'm on is buggy, because I'm getting lower scores than I was before, yet at higher clocks: this is 1600/8760 run.

Hitting all kinds of moving walls trying to find stable clocks for Valley, but I'm almost certain that AMD Powertune and its dynamic voltage regulation is the source of instability. Unlocking voltage (by following Unwinder's guide) is highly unstable because you have to remove limits in afterburner, and you can "accidentally" bypass the +100mv safety by "glitching" Afterburner. Anyway, Custom Bios will probably be needed to bypass Powertune and set a constant voltage before any real overclocking is possible.

Well IDK what to try anymore aside from a whole fresh windows install, and I don't have a windows 8.1 key, and windows 10 isn't ready yet is it?

 

I tried like 6 different drivers, and 3 different bios.  Any software voltage changes are still making me crash, even at stable stock voltage OC's.

KPC forums were no help, all someone did was give me their BIOS that didn't fix it either.   OCN's classified thread is just full of people drooling over 980 TI KPE/Classified so that was no help either.

Yours only hits 1470? Huh. You have other 980TI's, what do those do?

 

Here's my submission. 1592 stable @ 1.23V... but if I put the top lid on my 250D the temperature increases by ~20C and it's not stable. Yay Mini-ITX.  :P

I think all the things I'm running in the background + the latest Let's Play Minecraft on my U2414 on the left that I cropped out kind of hampered my score. I'll run it tomorrow at some point with only the one monitor plugged in and nothing else going. Much too lazy to do all the tweaks mention in OP though.

 

Why is the GPU clock shown in Unigen way too high, while the memory clock is way too low? Is that some sort of glitch? I'd assume that my GPU-Z and PX would be the right values.
