With stock clocks :) I started seeing artifacts at over 150+mhz for both clock speeds. Only reason my card is letting me do anything is probably because I just put new thermal paste on today as well.

Who cares about Windows 7. Geez people

Windows 7 has a less graphical intense UI. And it lighter on the computer all around. Valley loves single threaded performance for cpus since for some odd reason it has NO multithreaded support at all. Therefore my 970 is actually bottlenecked a bit by my Xeon E3-1230 v3...

Weird. My PC doesn't like Windows 7. When I built it I tried to install Windows 7 and nothing ran that well. Installed Windows 8.1 and its soo much better and now I'm waiting on Windows 10

Well, I am really seeing the irritating fact that Valley is single threaded... Damn shame my cpu isn't overclockable... But hey, this 970 isn't half bad, but I can't let it free in valley.

 

I noticed I got the memory to the exact same speed as my strix and core 2MHz faster. :( I miss it even though it sagged, was stupid heavy, wasn't built for overclocking, and was too flashy in a S340 imo it was a good card.

Valley isn't entirely single threaded from what I've seen. Well, it is and it isn't, it's a strange kettle of fish.

Running Basic, 4 cores is fine and smooth, 3 cores hits a little lower on averages and stutters a little, 2 cores is a lot lower average, with frequent stutters and lockups.

On ExtremeHD, I haven't seen any core go over 50% at 4.4GHz. But either way that's a pretty nice score, I need to wait for a colder day to re-run my 970

I just need a unlocked i7 to mess with, I've noticed one core is at 90%, another is at 20% then a thread is at like 8-10% with it running. :/ I also need to get my 970 colder. It dies at 57C at 8.3GHz effective. Why must my card want water when I can't afford that?!??! :(

Yup, Valley is really strange with it's CPU usage.

 

You don't need water, just wait for Winter to come around and then do all the benching you possibly can :D

Is it worth posting an on-battery score of 56 with the DX9 preset on an Ati Mobility Radeon HD 4250? (BTW, at least it ran completely, my Quadro NVS110M didn't finish the benchmark-but it was running at sub 1FPS).

If that could actually run Basic, it would score higher than my 6100. The Mobility Radeon 9700 in my old laptop has more power behind it than that 6100 does, but it doesn't support the stuff needed for Valley to run which is sad

Just realised even with my modded BIOS, and watercooling my 980ti score is the lowest in the spreadsheet :-( I cri everytime

There's abysmal, then there's the 6100. If it struggles with TF2 at 640x480 at about 15fps then it might stand a chance.

But that score was strange, Valley doesn't like framerates below 1fps. That run was at less than 0.3fps but the counter doesn't go below 1

Either way, even though the score sucks, at least both dGPU can run Valley unlike the NVS110M which has the expected issues.
