You wanna make a Sandy Bridge Owners Club Together?

not really. i dont know why, but i dont really like clubs for things. i did bid on and x79 board and cpu the other day, but i was outbid, so that was a shame.

i know. i hope zen will be good, but i expect it to be another piledriver. it just a shame they don't come out with the new athlon 64 which was miles faster than the p4, but that isn't going to happen.

well now that fury x is out looks like my 780ti will be good for me at least another 18 months , nothing worth while to upgrade to yet IMO. 980ti is like the only thing really worth while and it costs a pretty penny.

did some testing, no performance difference in Valley between 353.06 and 353.30

I flashed a different BIOS and was getting slightly different clocks.

you need a gpuz screen shot and also if you overclock your cpu you will get a much higher score.

So from all the reviews I've seen about the Fury X, I will be defiantly putting it under a block the Pump on them is noisy as hell, but some of them have HORRIBLE coil whine to the point were it sounds like an electric shaver

thanks. some people used to run 1.5v 24/7 under water on sandy, so that voltage is fair safe tbh.

most people that ran it at such voltages had it degrade though. atleast from my research. i have mine at 1.376V just for 4.5Ghz and i want it to last quite some year :P atleast from what i can see with how cpu have made no improvement really.

Not saying its 100% true what im saying here actualy its just from my limited research

yeah they took 18-24 months to die at that voltage running it a few times through valley won't make much difference. i run my 2550K and 2600K at 1.4v 24/7 and both of them have been over 1.6v for benching and they have only degraded a bit.

ye i might redo my run at somepoint with higher cpu clock and a tad higher clocks on the gpu ya know have it be valley "stable" if you get my drift. i do realise its safe for just a few runs as i have done cinebench runs with like 1.55V. thanks for the advice anyways!

I will do another run later when it's not fucking 85f in my room.  The air cooler on this thing is fucking nuts, 52c under load at 100% fan speed.

I'm not even remotely pushing it, :D

I couldn't take a GPU-Z screenshot because for some reason when I clicked "default" on EVGA Precision X, it cut display to my ROG Swift and I had to restart, still no display.

Luckily I fixed it, thought something shit the bed for a second there.

GPUz is useless when a card is BIOS modded... MSI AB seems to be the only thing that reports the clock correctly.

I assume GPUz uses a default cards boost table to calculate the "boost" clock

see screenshot, im boosting at 1496mhz but gpuz reports 1370mhz

GPU-Z always does that, use the sensors tab for accurate readings.

GPU-Z does that because it only reports the boost clock BEFORE GPU Boost 2.0 kicks in.

nvidia inspector can give a rough estimate for a max boost clock.
