I love being able to clock higher in Basic, makes me happy inside.

Room was pretty hot during that bench, too. Windows open for a cold run next, gonna see if I can get any higher in Extreme HD, and if I can get closer to that 780Ti in Basic

Stock. Cant remember off hand. I never mess with the memory speeds, just the core clock.

I haven't over clocked yet on the 980's.  Just ran the stock over clock so far.  Going to play with it this weekend and see what I can get out of it. So far I'm happy with it :)

Well, it needs to be colder before I can go any further, but that's not all folks.

Finally managed to pass 100% power draw, and actually saw power throttling up at +110 core.

nice extreme score on the 760. that's about as far as I ever got my old 7950.

R9 3900XT | Tomahawk B550 | Ventus OC RTX 3090 | Photon 1050W | 32GB DDR4 | TUF GT501 Case | Vizio 4K 50'' HDR

Thanks, I would overclock my CPU but I need to get the money together for a custom loop. Might get a 212 or something cheap and see how fer I can get on that as a temporary thing

nice extreme score on the 760. that's about as far as I ever got my old 7950.

Thanks, I didn't actually mean to bench at +600 memory since I thought that was causing the driver crash. It's not stable at all up at these speeds, but if I can keep the load temps under 40c I can get the core up and the memory a bit further.

When I upgrade, I think it might be time to see what she can do under DICE or even LN2 maybe

are you still running at stock  :o.  i would pick up a second hand air cooler while you save up for the loop. you should be able to get a very nice single tower or maybe even a dual tower cooler for the same price as a 212 evo  :)

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BG-007-AL&groupid=595&catid=678< this is as good as a 212 for a bit less.

Tough call. Not many people do these cards under DICE or LN2 since there's not a lot in them. they usually max out under water. MSI GTX 760 HAWK was a LN2 card.

Although HWBOT has some doing 1600MHz under LN2. So there's hope. If you want to do a one last run you could get a EVGA EPOWER board.

Thanks a lot, I'll keep an eye on them and pick one of them up. Stock cooler is abysmal and I really want to get rid of it already

Yeah, it'd be a bit of a waste putting a lower end card under DICE or LN2, but I'd love to see how far it could climb before going out.

I've been looking into the EPOWER boards before, and I'd probably need one if I went further since the VRM for this card isn't exactly beefy. I'm guessing if I figured out how to put it on in the first place, it'll bypass the power detection that NVidia has in place already?

I probably almost broke my card doing this but fuck it, this was extremely risky I forced 1.3v onto the card and OCN told me it actually doing 1.325 so yolo. spent 5 hours with @Darkman doing this shit lol.

Well he was doing this, I was doing some memory + core overclocks... I wouldn't start artifacting with high memory overclocks, I'd start crashing.

Well dang, I was hoping for a little more time being the top 970. Guess it's time to go with a custom bios now and see what I can do. How hot did your card get with that oc? The sensors on afterburner don't show the min/max for some reason and is it water cooled? Mine will sometimes crash when I was trying to push it that far on the memory.

This is a little weird.  I lowered my CPU overclock to 4.6 GHZ instead of the usual 4.8 GHz to run these tests.  The two things I changed was the CPU Cache Ratio which was set from Auto to 45.  Also bumped up the CPU cache voltage to 1.250.

GPU Overclock is also lower with the exception of Memory speed compared to last scores.
