Corsair Dominator Platinum SE DDR4

Corsair has made some special edition ddr4 Dominator Platinums. There are 2 colors to choose from, mirror finish chrome and brush aluminium blackout. Both are rated at 3200MHz, can be safely oc to at least 3600MHz. Uses a custom 10 layer pcb, with heatspreaders built in, for rapid heat dissapation and lower temperatures. It comes in 32gb kits of 4x8gb or 2x16gb, in limited quantities of 500 each. Each kit, will be laser engraved with its own number. 

Kits cost $300 for the dual channel, and $330 for quad channel.

I have to say; the blackout DIMM looks pretty nice. Chrome is not bad either, but they work in maybe a handful of motherboards without sticking out like a sore thumb.

Hey you! Why not just PAINT you dom plats matte grey and then a few layers of matte black, then lightly brush over it with the cotton iron stuff and bam

so ... can anyone explain to me why these exist?! at least the Avexir kitts, Linus did a video on couple of days ago, were interesting

I don't know if I am that brave. With my luck, they would end up looking terrible. If they were less expensive dims, I would be all over doing it though.

 

EDIT: I wish I could just buy the top bars and install them on my dims.

I've stated this in another thread like this one, but I just wish after this has passed, they would go and update the Corsair Dominator Platinum using the same heatspreader design, but color it in the signature Black and Silver. Imagine what those would look like, and that would also eliminate those lines on the main heatspreaders as well (except the ones protruding from the top that are covered by the light bar)

I had dominator platinums back in the ddr3 days and they were cool and all but, my trident Z's are just so nice lol

Well, this is their best opportunity to release higher-rated memory. It's limited edition and way overpriced, might as well.

Meh, I'm perfectly happy with my 32 gb 3200mhz Gskill ripjaws for $130, thanks. Wish I got them in white instead of smoke grey though.
