IT's a terrible port - last time the game was tested, even Titan X SLI couldn't get 60fps

Digitalfoundry did a video on the re release of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiHnM6mMbEc

What they found is that cards that have less than 4GB of vram will perform really poor and memory allocation on the nvidia side seems better.

So if you really wanna play arkham knight then a GTX 1060 6GB seems like the better option.

Recent steam reviews are at a 84% positive but some still experience frequent crashes.

According to the test "Physx Cards- 10 years later do they still suc??" that Luke hosted it's not needed but can improve performance.

But that test was run at high settings with Gamework settings like interactive smoke/fog probably (but i dont know) on, and such settings should benefit of a dedicated physx card. Disabling those settings might give us the normal outcome of minimal change.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

If it is that batman game then you gotta go nvidea card. My friend owns a 480 and even then he has trouble rendering frames while one of my rigs with a 1060 does it just Fine.

He mainly experience spikes here and there in gameplay if that helps.

The game doesn't support sli or cross fire. What was the person who tested it expecting?

Umm... He was HELPING YOU.... The whole point Your even here on this forum asking this question... is to get answers, and he provides a pretty simple enough answer to judge performance basics from... and you say "STFU"...

You don't HAVE to use gameworks, and it runs fine on many systems, with or without gameworks,

But you DO seriously need BRUTE FORCE GPU power for the constant 60fps @ 1080p WITH Gameworks Enabled.

Without GameWorks enabled, as stated, a 290/290x/390/390x/780/970/980 should all see excess of 60fps @ 1080p.

Aim for always above 30fps on Batman. And work from there higher and higher if GPU power allows.

Who are you talking to? Helping me with what? I'm going to assume you thought I was the OP? Even then, this guy is a known troll who can't tell the truth to save his life. He doesn't have a friend with a 480 and all he does is spout talking points from the minutes of the Nvidia shills meeting including making shit up. Go to techpowerup and look at the review of the Rx 480 where this game was tested. Scroll up and read @Morgan MLGman's post of how it runs on his 290x.

Forum is telling me YOU said to the Bcat00, "STFU"

I do apologize if this wasn't the case if the forum derped out...

I agree that the game isn't the best, I also agree it runs great on certain configs with "realistic" settings.

I'm for the game... not against it, I just got confused/and annoyed by this apparent "STFU" as a first response. (Which seemingly didnt happen)

EDIT: Should have been wary at the low post count, but I'm never wary :(

It is a good card, though there are quite a few games that it can't max at 1080p and get 60 FPS, or a constant 60 FPS (Assassin's Creed Unity and Syndicate, The Division, Crysis 3, Witcher 3, Far Cry Primal, Rise of the Tomb Raider).
