RX 470, pointless as crap

Its not pointless, you are comparing aftermarket coolers from the RX 470 with reference design from the RX 480, RX 470 aftermarket perform almost the same as a reference RX 480. Reference RX 470 that will be really cheap, but are not on the market yet.

Its a great value GPU here in singapore. Only a few fps less than the 480 but $60 cheaper.

I Personally think it is a bit pointless since it performs too closely to an rx 480. Amd are risking losing sales of the rx 480 because of the 470. Personally It would have been smarter if the rx 470 performed similar to an r9 380x and was priced say 160$.

Not sure what rumors you listen to but the RX480 does indeed come with a 4GB variant.

I like how everyone is beating a dead horse here instead of talking about main topic :'D ohh ltt...

 

I think it makes sense, since the only card with an aftermarket cooler that gets close to the rx 470 aib coolers is the sapphire 4gb nitro+, which is overheating as far as I know.

If one does not fail at times, then one has not challenged himself.
