Is + ~50 points multi score in r23 an improvement or still just a measurement variation?

im just slightly confused because  i changed my offsets slightly and its hotter than usual in my room today today (24.0C) and I still got my best multicore score (i think) …

🤔

Edit: damnit, i see my post above is pretty much the same … 😅

but still, its a lot hotter today, 4-6C more, so not bad i guess!?

So i got a new system. Actually 2 systems in one case. CPU´s are 5600X and 5950X.

5600X is limited by the cooler i use, a low profile noctua cooler. With a better cooler, it can deffently get higher scores.

Stock

with PBO and my own powert limits as said. Cooler is limiting it and i have to limit power, else it would go to throttle temp.

5950X cooled by a Noctua NH-D15. So aircooled as well.

R20 with PBO and manuelt core OC combined.

Thanks for the numbers, this tells me I have results as expected.  Some https://www.cpu-monkey.com/ lists 28641 as the 'official' performance for this chip in cinebench r23.  This thread makes it clear that is nowhere near stock performance, it's obviously been overclocked with good cooling.

My results:

Details: Noctua NH-D15, in an airflow restricted SFF case.  PBO on, -11 all core curve optimizer.  0 mhz frequency override.  Fans set to less than 100%.  It sits at 90C during the test run.

You would get better results tuning your PBO instead of running MB limits (too high…hence 90C throttle ) . Also run high or real-time priority and close RM if you want to compare benches.

I just got a similar system. Care to share what you did with your OC ?

Didn't see if you got a reply but I'll give my details (I'll post screenshots tonight).

On my 5950x, I was able to achieve about a 31,000 on R23. Set the clock speed locked to 4.6ghz (any higher resulted in crashes). my Voltage was 1.10 (I likely could go higher to get past the 4.6ghz barrier, but havent yet)

Temps were sitting around 83c under 100% load.

System: R9-5950x, ASUS X570-Pro, Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070s. 32GB DDR4 @ 3200mhz.

only used ctr 2.1 and at 1.257v got 4225 mhz on ccx 1 and 4200 mhz on ccx 2 i have this setting currently and temps goes to 75c max right now on a cinebench test.

Nope don't know what I'm doing.  Followed a guide on youtube but system was unstable.  I don't think I have one of the decent chips but I ended up with I think a decent outcome.  During regular usage with the fans and AIO on silent my temps are still around 40ºC.  11.thumb.png.c295228ce8f63271c835836ee365b3a5.png44444.thumb.png.756eafd324330b03074cbb149564a240.png

Running mb limits or some other high EDC? SC doesn’t like high limits 😞 SC loves silicon lottery, low PBO limits, -30CO and all the cooling…

All as I did was run the Ryzen Master OC.

Even stock my Single Core was crap.  I think it was 1379 in R23 or something like that.

My chip runs very cool using a Arctic Cooler 2 360mm.

I don't know enough to do things manually.  I tried but I got better results with Ryzen master.
