My $60 modified laptop from Micro Center just got 826 @ 10w of power. Not a flex, just amazing to think about.

Still have a LOT of tweaking to do. I've done nothing more so far than an all-core -10 undervolt and +100 boost override.

AMD Ryzen 5600x with PBO on and per core optimizer on. +100mhz on clock boost override and scaler set to x4. (holds 4725mhz all core boost for most of the run)

32gb 3600MHZ memory

gigabyte X570 board

BQuiet Darkrock pro 4 cpu air tower cooler

CB23 score: 12122 points.

stock out of the box without PBO or any settings it will score about 11000 points

I currently run a MSI X570 Unify with the 5900x and am looking into the 7900x... almost a 7k difference is huge for a generational jump.  Just sucks its going to require DDR5 on top of the normal mobo/cpu upgrade.

It only holds around 5.3 all core during the benchmark.

These new chips are a bit of a step ahead. I bought cheap ram and I'm only running 2800mhz, I did oc the IF 100mhz though

CPU-Z reading the 5800X3D as a 5800X?? I think you're running an older version of CPU-Z.

Yes, it stays pretty much similar or the same.

I had to do a lot of weaking with the power saving features, some of them i turned off and some i left on.

Some of them heavily affect performance and clock speed, while others unproportionally increase heat and power if turned off.

yup! u might be right and its an older version but im pretty sure i *did* update it a few weeks ago 🤔

ps: similar thing happened with hwinfo64,  updated... still didn't work right... updated again and it works perfectly (and yes the first "update" was still a super old version... i think they often dont give u actually newset version with auto update or something)

I, specifically, have a folder on one of my drives with all these programs inside to check things. Cinebench R10/R15/R23, CPU-Z, GPU-Z, and DDU.

I get around to update one's like GPU-Z...then weeks or months later I go to open it again to be delighted by "There's an update available" type message. 😂

In all reality, I gotta do my 5950X system and post my results here maybe later today.

You know, that's actually a great idea to keep copies of drivers in that folder too!! I never thought about it as I usually just delete driver downloads once I install them onto C: drive. I do keep a couple backups of the graphics drivers and the latest chipset drivers on my downloads folder that's redirected off my C: drive, I don't want to exactly wear out my SSD with all the downloads/deletions I do...if that makes a difference whatsoever.

yeah,  its not even about losing it most of the time,  its about *finding* it when you need it...

well i install most stuff right there (or use portable versions)  that way i can swap my OS drive and it still works = )

(gotta backup >C> appdata/ documents tho!)
