Motherboard which has 1/5th the memory bandwidth of other boards with the same chipset+frequency, check.

CPU ranging from the first Pentium II to the best Celeron and last Coppermine Pentium III, check.
Bleach to get rid of the pain of benchmarking them, check.

are you using windows in performance mode? that seems slow, my 1800x@3.7ghz with 2133 ram gets over 1600 and you have over 2400mhz and an extra 100mhz on the cpu.

@iHardware Shelden @tmcclelland455 Boo!

This took a really long time to put together. Pentium II 233 to the Pentium III 1000 benchmarked with the only variable being the slot, socket and the CPU. I don't think anyone else on LTT can manage this:

Quick capacitor replacement needed after it failed a couple of years ago, because #fuckthecapacitorplague (the board didn't see much use after 2002, so the cap lived past the literal 2007 deadline):

Edit: Just going to try a BIOS update which adds support for Cyrix III.....I think that this motherboard has a similar range of compatibility to my Gigabyte GA 5AA-as in it supports everything ever made for its socket(s)

Yeah performance mode is on.  I think it's about right for the clock on it, stock results from other places have the Cinebench run sitting on the low 1400 mark, so almost a whole 200 points incline, and over 50 points extra with the memory OC.

Played around in the bios today, got 4ghz stable with ram at 2666mhz, it refuses 4.1ghz at 1.41v, I don't wanna put anymore than that in 24/7 so no point trying anymore

anyway, improvement!

Nice work! That 5960x isn't even breaking a sweat yet at that voltage! They go nicely into the 1900's at 4.8 GHz.

Temps are my issue though at the moment.

I either did not get the block mounted right or my radiators are not doing the job (starting to think I got a bad mount).  Or, being my first of E line Intel.  I may just be doing unnecessary freaking out over the temps. (seeing 68-71C)

I may try redoing or tightening the block a bit more.

On the OC, that someone's else work.  :P   That is the reason I bought this used chip and board (person barely used them either).

Need to get the rest of CPU army up and get data points.  Especially since I got a FX 3120 chip to tinker with.  I may nab a Ryzen later this year to tinker about with (plus, more cores to smack into my F@H/BOINC rig).

Keep an eye on package temps.  That's what really matters with x99 chips.  There's no issue with running up into the low 80s on the package during benchmarks like Cinebench R15.

What size rad are you using and what else are you cooling with it beside the CPU?

Sounds like it's time to see some of your own work. :)   Bump voltage up more, say 1.35v and see if you can pull off a 4.7 GHz pass and get that score up into the 1800s.

Nice!  I think I'm going to pass on Ryzen altogether.  Too close to x299 release now.

Well, my issue is I use the chip for BOINC or the upcoming BOINC Pent (two week long event none stop).

I tend to be a bit finky with temps because of that.

Currently one 360mm rad and 200mm rad (soon to switch out and shove another 360mm rad in).

I have two GTX 980 Tis in the loop as well (switching out soon).

I may fiddle a bit with the OC.  I have a bit of time before the Pent starts.  Just want this chip solid for the event.
