Something is not right

4.9ghz vs 4.8ghz

2400mhz vs 1866mhz

WHY ARE PEOPLE WITH LOWER CLOCKS DOING BETTER?

(gpu is at stock as always)

no difference (second run I got 967 but image got corrupted so meh)

run1.PNG

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Have you followed the steps in running cinebench efficiently? it's in the op.

my guess is bloated install and non-optimal running conditions and 2400cl16... ouch!

Wait.. CL16? That explains it I thought the speed setting in my bios didnt change the CL..

As for optimal running conditions disabled the windows defender BS and disabled the iGPU and all the stuff I usually have in the background.

Also only using 70gb

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah if you just set 2400 it will just use super loose timings. Hyper X blue? What's the XMP on those things?

I just swapped those out for some Vengeance sticks.

Both are 1600mhz C10

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Yeah, you're definitely not doing it right.

4.8GHz, 2133 Memory <---double OUCH!!, and a 750 Ti.

All of a sudden I have interest in my 4790k again.  I'll keep trying.

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Not at all.  I just selected 2133 instead of 1333 and the sticks seem really happy with it.  I'll give this OC on the CPU a little more push, but it's at 4.8 CPU and 4.5 cache at the moment.  Very small loop.

If they're C10 vengance you can run 1.8v and get 9-11-10-28 2133 on most kits :P

Will try.

When I do that it sets it to CAS 16.. Does OC'ing the cache actually do anything?

It increases efficiency, cache is your ring speed, deals with communication between various parts of the cpu
