Uncore overclocking guys. Get that 45/40. I sit generally around 1338 at 4.5/4.0 1.25V quad channel 2400 cl15.

I havnt touched uncore at all - I messed about with it on my G3258 and 4690k - I found it really didnt give me much of an improvement.

Once I can cool this sucker a little better I will give it a crack.

I was thinking of replacing my H75 with a Noctua NH-D15 - I was going to do for a 280mm rad but given the performance I have seen from that cooler I think I will go back to air for my 5820k.

thoughts?

ill go a h110t GTX - and then somehow fit my 140mm GPU rad... somewhere... sucks that the D15 will cool just as well and do it quieter than the H110i GTX - maybe if I used some of those magic 150mm noctua fans?

for such a huge ass case the XL R2 really does not have the best deigned fan locations... the rear 140mm slot is too high... the front 140mm slots are too far for most AIO tubes... the door mount 140mm rad is a terrible GPU destroying accident waiting to happen... the low mount 140mm might work.

Question:

If I have the AIO water block higher than the radiator will I risk air becoming trapped in the block or circulated around the system? I imagine with the radiator mounted high that the air pocket is in the radiator.

I was going to do efficiency runs on my 8120 at 4.2GHz and mess with the ram, but apparently the motherboard refuses to let me add any voltage past 1.65v or run the ram past 1866MHz now....

Edit: Install of windows is dead, bootloops now... :(
