i'll have a look back through this thread and see whats happened now, i've got 46 notifications just for this thread and about 4 pages to look through.

what would you do? you could probably get one shipped to you for £1500 :P

I'd run my P4 @ 2V 24/7 (I might be happy with 1.75V as that's what my PIII use) like my old Celeron 300A and the highest possible FSB. And that price.....maybe if I parted with some legacy parts (I've got some valuable ones).

Jumper would have to sell his car for one of them. 

 

And 3 stage is pretty damn rare. 

i don't think a 3 stage would fit in my room. i would have to relocate to the garage. also dual stage is -110c to -100c so triple stage doesn't give much benefit, only about another 10c

There is a bid on one for $309 on Ebay, but 3930K's are cheaper. 

get a 3930K they are cheaper and tend to oc just as well. 

 

there is a 3930k in my area for 250cad. i may scoop that up this week. I may have to flip the 2700k if anyone is interested.

 

picked up a 775 formula rampage last night. the ocz memory will run at 1250mhz cl5 on this board.

If you go X99, it will be easier to hit those speeds.

It's easy enough to hit them on anything over Haswell with some tweaking.

don't know. i just just saying that you should be paying too much more than that for one.
