Well my board has 2 DIMM slots so I can't actually use it, and I'm hoping to look beyond benchmark performance to be honest; lost interest in benchmarking a bit of late :(

if your not into benching any more then the 4690k is the best option by far. 

 

Board is back in and system is up and running again, inb4 I start hitting 4.7GHz now

Yeah only down side is that one of the fans on the 240l is leaking grease pretty bad so I got in touch with cooler master about it. Also looking into a 4790k again and getting a 16GB 2x8GB 2666MHz or faster kit this time around. Otherwise X99 here I come.

I truly don't know how to get my cache past ~4240 with stability, people on HWBOT telling me what to do, I screwed with it for literally like 4 hours and just can't get it to work.

 

A guy told me most cpu's are doing 4.4-4.6 on cache with fine tuning, IDK if I got a dud or i'm doing something wrong.  This OC socket shit is complicated  and I don't understand it at all.  I tried everything they told me on HWBOT forums and I can't seem to get it to work.

suicide run lulz , i like that , my run was good for longer then you would expect . i had it run cine bench once then it went into lock up. ambient temps were 16-18 , core temps were about 88-90 hahah , that shit was intense. i really need an l2 or dice pot , or a phase changer ...should have bought one when i had the chance

 

 

 

actually ... i have a better idea , perhaps if ice water bath my rad ..... that's crazy enough to work .... im sure ive seen others do it

*sigh* my Xeon tops out at 4.5-4.6GHz for the same temps with the same shitty AIO. Granted its a lot better than what I was previously using, but 240mm rads are sooo much better.

Ask @Gofspar he put Ice in his AIO.

It wasn't in the AIO, his AIO was partially submerged in a ice water mixture.
