So basically, as I see it, this could drastically change how some forums work where there is a lot of question-answer conversations going on. A bot that observes any community enough could scan for questions and *accurately* respond to them if they're common enough.

 

I think this is pretty great. And pretty crazy. And pretty scary. We may be talking with bots right now and not fully realize it.

I don't see the issue with having an AI explain standard concepts and questions students often ask. As long as it doesn't completely take over the role of a teacher... Academia needs people to progress at all levels, not bots that spout the party lines. I'm really worried that one of these "education" corps will try and convince a city to do an cheaper 'automated' system that completely removes teachers and faculty from schools. I can see it happening because it's already happening now with really bad "computer" tests (i.e. terribly done messes of online versions of poorly made tests).

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
