Mac subforum?

Kirihuna

Is there possibly a way that we could get a Mac subforum created? Under Hardware?

To talk about actual Mac things or Hackintosh?

There have been quite a few people who inquire about Hackintoshes before. There are also quite a few Mac owners / users here.

This is a tech forum and Macs are tech  :)  ;)  :D

It could basically be used for the Mac community here to help each other out, to suggest things when people want to buy Macs or build Hackintoshes.

People who are for a Mac subforum, open to it, or like the idea:

There is no need for one. The current sub forums are just fine for Macs as they utilize OSes and software just as much as a "PC."

Alot of the people that have asked about Hackingtosh's have done so in the New Builds & Planning section and they have gotten a lot of great help. As for all the other things. I think everything else is in a Mac can fall into categories that already exist.

But take your idea to Forum Suggestions section to what the mods say.

Edit: Ok, most of you guys are being to harsh here. This is an actual legit question/suggestion, so calm down

Great input guys! I'm glad to see this forum is no different with the blind hate and automatically assuming non-techies buy Macs only.

I think having a mac/hackintosh subforum is a great idea. You have my support.

I'll have to agree, Mac discussion can probably be applied to the other subforums. But, it might not be bad to open a general Mac discussion/question subforum.

If Macs get their own subforum, maybe Linux users should get their own too. Or Windows users.

Damn, nobody is taking this seriously. While I don't love Macs, I don't hate them. I am using my mini right now (just put a 120GB SSD in it!)

It wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe I could finally learn about Hackintoshing more.

Nah. Why would they take this seriously? This community is more immature that I thought it was.

Yep, mention Apple or Mac and you're instantly ridiculed because some people think their opinion is more important than yours.

Sucks to see how many people post "funny images" instead of making a thought out response as to why they think it's a bad idea. Maybe they need to go back to some other site where that is more appropriate.

"You don't need a Mac subforum, it applies to everything we already have"

So why are there two separate cooling forums? We could just have water and air in one forum called cooling.

Why are there separate forums for displays and peripherals? Displays are technically peripherals.

Why are there separate forums for "OS and software" and for "Programing and Software Design"? It could just be Software.

New Builds and Planning + Build Logs could be a single forum for build logs.

You know what? Those are some good points, you should suggest them in the forum suggestion thread.
