And screen resolution is 1080p. The device screen size is 5.2inch so not bad for the size.

That's not "not bad", it's ideal. Same as my G2. But why not make it IPS? :(

But why does it have to have a physical front button? eusa_wall.gif(This emoticon should be added to the forum).

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

I'm laughing at why.

I'd understand 8GB of RAM in a full-fledged windows tablet... But what are you going to do with 8GB on a 5.5" phone. Photoshop Mobile, or open 1000 LTT tabs on Chrome with a Snapdragon 820?

Windows 10 phones are now going to support x64 architecture which means running PC apps on the phone is possible. If I'm not mistaken some of the apps are already capable of doing that via continuum, but simple ones like Microsoft office and browser. I think with new architecture you will be able to run anything that runs on PC, given that rest of the hardware will be capable of doing that on the phone.

Indeed, 8GB of ram in such phones will be very useful if as you say photoshop on the mobile :) Probably doesn't concern Android users as much. Myself, I have zenfone 2 with 4GB of RAM and as someone mentioned earlier it is pretty hard to max it out, the phone is just smooth.

In my opinion, Lenovo went a bit OTT with RAM.

I hope its nope of that "Lets try to make it look like a iPhone" shit.

That's not even what scares me with the brand... few months back they were plastered all over the forums about hidden, uninstallable spyware embedded on laptops.

Well, for like Windows PC apps on phone since it can be done and be full version of Windows like for desktop. Or also plug a phone on a dock and let's say monitor for better view and use a phone like that.

I agree, as long as its LCD were talking about. AMOLED displays, due to theyr nature and perhaps how the pixels are lighten up and turned off from time to time, apparently, if the screen pixel density is too low, even at 1080p, text will look blurry and show jagged edges around pictures and other images. I honestly werent aware of this, until EverythingApplePro claimed the fact. Hence why Samsung is forced to use 1440p resolutions, to keep the display legibility great and not just because of VR, since the S5 SK Edition and Note 4/Note 4 Edge, had 1440p displays already. I think he wasnt wrong i guess.

Neat. Interesting that Lenovo, not Samsung, was the first to use Samsung's 6GB chips.

Probably going to be a relatively mediocre phone, but that's great for the price.

How could it be a mediocre phone? It has a Snapdragon 820 in it with 6GB's of ram... Nothing currently compares to that besides the G5 and the S7's.

Having to control your phone manually and customize it means it's a mediocre phone. That shit should be buttoned down straight out of the box.

Um no... By that logic all Samsung phones suck. I am half the world hate Samsung's skin. That is why Android is open source and you can make it how you like it. Only iCrapples have no user customization.

Actually LG G4 got it right first. I have the LG G4 and there is no black bezel before the actual bezel.

I'd agree with you if this was running Windows 10. But it's not, It's running android.

I think anything greater then 1080p on a phone is dumb. I don't even like that laptops are greater then 1080p most of the time. 1440p is ok but I think anything bigger on a laptop is also dumb.

I just dont see a point to it, its just a battery draining feature that gives the end user very little benefit.

Use GearVR, and it'll make a difference. I also find fine print is a little nicer on the higher res screens.

I don't find Samsung bad at all. Perhaps you haven't used them lately?

You can have specs like that and still have an awful device. It's all about optimization, which for some reason I just don't see happening here. They can't do it well with Motorola phones, I doubt they'll manage to do it well with these either. Just like those phones that have massive batteries...yet still get worse battery life than a Note.
