loads stuff faster than my 2500k 4.2  :(

I wanted to pay for everything, but my parents decided to pay half of it because it was such an extremely expensive pc *cough* (they only have experience with sub-700 euros laptops) and I the other half...

me too.both mine and my sister has almost the same specs.mine is only faster because i oc'd it and have an ssd in it.some people just do not want to notice the benefits of an ssd even though it is slightly expensive.

If we were going for raw FLOPs my father would beat me by lightyears.

To be fair he had an nearly unlimited budget and has two tesla K20s, so yeah :D.

Considering gaming I'm by far the fastest with my setup and my 2nd rig coming in at position 2.

doesn't sound that bad bro, My sis is working as a receptionist and hates it... also another worse job is toilet cleaner for example... :) but just coz FYI I got zee money with baby sitting :)

My great grandmother. God bless her with her pentium 2, she got it in the core 2 duo days but for some reason she thinks its really great, she caught me playing bf3 on my lowly rig and now she is on the blame it on a virus bandwagon.

my main and only pc is stll a core 2 duo with a whole 2gb of ram.

me, by far, with my desktop. my mom's desktop has an i7-920 and a gtx 260. my sister's laptop runs intel HD4000, with a mobile i7. my laptop runs an i5-2450m. dad's desktop has 3g of ram, and an athlon x2. the rest are too old and shitty to deserve mention

My desktop boots in 30 secs.

However, my laptop boots in 11 seconds. It's specs are:

Who paid for my pc? ME with blood and sweat, all too often very literally ....

 

many people here are 18+, though even at the age of 13 theres no justification for not saving up money on your own.

We have a core 2 duo system just in our mess room where we throw everything in for no reason. I said that our grandmother would benefit greatly from it but nooooooo why listen to the tech of an indian family(i said indian because it means we are close to at least 200 people).
