It's probably another line of Kingston RAM and low-end OCZ SSDs with AMD stickers on them marked up by 60%.

 

If it's a graphics card on 14nm though and it's in the $300-$600 range I'll excuse all past transgressions.

No I was saying the fury x2 will be hot. But the nano throttles with it's stock cooler so either it is hot or the cooler sucks

RTG is the new part of AMD that exclusively deals with GPUs. It's only meant to make AMDs graphics department a little mor independent.

That was only my impression from reading about RTG. I thought they were a smaller, separate division that was at the moment more focused on new research and product development and did not yet incorporate the entire graphics department.

I guess I was mistaken. :P

 

And also a part of me was hoping that it definitely wouldn't be Fury X2 as that would be a big let down. I want to see Polaris!

Honestly I think its just a way for the people in charge to get more money... Like most of AMDs executives, its just about there money.

RTG is what ATI was sort of when AMD already bought them.

AMD owns it, but it's sort of seperate-ish.

 

It's probably because they know their gpu's are doing great, and they want to go to the stock market with only it's gpu division.

I don't know if they can do that, but i won't be suprised if they go to the stock market with RTG if they can.

It seems that perhaps AMD could announce these GPUs there. That would make sense. After all they both happened within a day.

I am pretty sure the Fury X2 will be launched before that or then. A Polaris launch might make sense though. It would put AMD ahead of Nvidia too. Even if they only announce the low end that would put them far ahead of Nvidia.

Yes but it also came with some premium stuff such as a nicer cooler and a full closed loop water cooler. 

The Titan Z.... It just came in a plain ol cooler.

It also came with above spec power draw... And you know infamous single rail requirements.. 

 

Look,  the Titan Z was a shit card. I'm not saying anyone should buy one.  The 295x2 is obviously a much more successful variant,  but that doesn't mean AMD was providing a better relative value at launch. 

 

Because in the end they did the exact damn thing of selling at 3x single card price.

True... AMD's was better, but it was initially quite a bit overpriced. Hopefully AMD learns from this and prices the Fury X2 more around twice the Fury X.
