AMD, or Radeon technologies group, have something planned for GDC.

Watermelon Guy

It'd be awesome if they did a release of Zen or showed off some Zen CPUs or APUs.

But then again I'm only daydreaming...

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

The best you can hope for on the cpu side is probably Bristol Ridge, which is just Excavator on AM4. So maybe AM4 boards will be of interest. I simply don't think even early samples of Zen would be ready to be shown off in any capacity.

But I think it'll be all gpu. Probably a release of Fury X2 and perhaps a showcase of Polaris. Now the amount of Polaris we might see is what's interesting (if any is shown)

Why would RTG be announcing a processor?

I didn't explicitly say they would but let's pretend I did: APUs. But even that is doubtful.

In any case, it's reasonable to assume that AMD is not sitting on their asses. So while RTG has teased some things, that doesn't exclude AMD from doing their thing.

My comment was merely a response to the Zen angle. Not the OP.

I reckon they'll be releasing the dual-fury card. Possibly doing a tech demo of Polaris.
