Has RGB gone too far?

XxDeadpool67xX

Has RGB gone too far? This RGB trends is going insane after I found this RGB case fan.

http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Riing-120mm-Adjustable-Radiator/dp/B014QW98SC

Also RGB water coolers

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0196LP24M/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=1944687502&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B014QW98SC&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0B59N0Y89PCS0SRQGSMH

And Asus's Maximus VIII formula which is essentially an RGB motherboard. It's almost getting annoying when your now seeing builds like this

Simple. Don't buy products that have RGB if you don't like RGB. There will always be a market for people who want to spend more money on LEDs. I don't it at all, if people want to bling out their insides, let them.

Why is it annoying? It gives you more flexibility without having to rewire everything when you want a change. I'm basically stuck with a black/red theme (which I love) simpley because that was one of the only color schemes available for my components at the time. If I had the option of going all RGB from the start, I would've.

Customizable lights just give a fancy factor to products and allows more color scheme customization. (Well, that's how I think of it)

No, not if you use it right. I wouldn't use rgb things to look all rainbow. I would use it so that it matches the rest of the system. Just leave it at one and then you dont have to wory about anything if you want to change your color scheme in the future.

I like RGB lighting because you can change it to match any colour scheme. (Which is why the viii formula is by far my favourite motherboard, not easy to find an armoured black and blue motherboard)

I think we need even more RGB lighting, perhaps next we have RGB screwdrivers, microphones, cars, desks, etc... the possibilities are endless!

I can understand that. I guess that is up to the user to decide though, imagine just turning it all one color. You can control the theme much easier.

They have RGB cars. They would mod the Rims and for the new S-Class and 7 series RGB comes standard as a feature. Also many people stick an RGB light on there desk now.

I'm talking fully RGB, like every part can change colour, not just RGB lighting on some parts of it.

If you want to be able to custom color accent you system design, then RGB allows you to dial in custom colors not commonly available.

I'm not a fan of these unicorn rainbow fart setups...

Dank,

I don't mind it tbh - it could easily be programmed to give you feedback on your system state.

If you dont like it, then don't buy it.

I like the effect it adds  to hardware worth showing off. You could show a regular person the most badass gaming rig and they wouldn't be impressed if it didn't look all sexy with LEDs and what not.

It's a more tangible way of justifying a purchase as well. It's usually all about performance, and/or color, I think RGB shakes it up in way that is fit to please the PC community (a bunch of picky bastards ;) )

I like the ability to color shift the LED's between a set of colors that accentuates the build :)

RGB is simple solution for a major problem that manufacturers face with every new product, which is not everyone likes the same colours, so manufactures had to create multiple versions of the same product but the only change was the colour, RGB fixes, so manufactures now create one version of a product instead of multiple and the end user can change the colour to match their setup without needing to find the colour they want and some times the colour they want isn't available.

Short version, it makes manufacturing easier, quicker and cheaper, and it gives the end user loads of choices and can match pretty much every colour scheme.

RGB is here to stay and it is the future, but of course it will get more advanced and we will see more and more uses for it.

IMO just like everything else that involves aesthetics some will like it some won't. My deal is that LEDS can be good if used tastefully, but can very easily become overpowering and tacky. Who else misses RAM with activity indicators?

It wouldn't be too hard to turn any of the Arduinos into a fan/led controller and use an internal USB header to communicate with it through software.
