Is the Pentium G3258 worth for gaming?

Is it worth for gaming if my budget is really low? and can someone make me a really cheap build maybe with a 750ti or idk for any game at 1080 prolly not at full settings, and about my budget i dont have one really but i would like to get the cheapest there is for gaming, maybe like 400 dollara max idk. thanks

Not worth it anymore. 4 cores is kinda must even if you have to go for lower per core performance (or 2cores+HT).

I would recommend searching for a used GPU at this price range, you can probably save a little money and get a little more power. Maybe a used 280x?

Its more worth it as a placeholder for a better CPU

If your going balls to the wall low end, go for an Athlon 860k

that athlon does not have an integrated GPU, so you will have to have a dedicated gpu to use the PC

i3-4160(with integrated graphics) and then used 280/280x, should give you great performance, if you just save a bit more!

Any PSU is modular if you try hard enough....

that athlon does not have an integrated GPU, so you will have to have a dedicated gpu to use the PC

and i kinda wanted to be with that cpu untill i got a better one like an i5 or something but i wont be able to since ita fm2 mobo

I dont think so.

R7 265 = HD 7850 which is slightly less powerfull than R9 270 (HD 7870).

 

There is quite a big jump in performance in R7 265 vs R7 260x which competes with the GTX 750ti.
