It's just a prank bro.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

Nice Idea to create a thread for mechanical keyboards.

I believe it might be possible to have Linus or Slick create a sub forum for mechanical keyboard related discussion since they both are great fans of mechanical keyboards.

I am mostly a Cherry MX blue guy and I have a Das Keyboard Proffessional.

Daskeyboard professional what? Model s or the 4?

I'm here to help people and have fun. Feel free to chat!

Also 7Bit seems to have sent me a M9 switch along with the ones I ordered. Not sure if he has done that on accident or on purpose

Cool thread.  I'm investigating a nice mechanical keyboard to use.  I'm on a mac at home, but uses a PC at work and I also use linux machines.  It seems like the only good mechanical keyboards that are mac specific are the Das keyboards. I'm keeping an eye out on this thread but I recommend any suggestions.

I really dig my G710 with mx browns. Nothing of substance to add other than holy bejebus, the mechanical keyboard is a fantastic investment.

LOL, I just now had one of my switches change from Cherry MX Blue to Brown. It just no loner wants to click, but there's still a tactile bump. Man... I've heard of clones not consistently clicking, but these were legit Cherry MX... hope no more switches loose their click. Actually sometimes it still clicks, but audibly less clicky than the keys next to it. The keyboard is only almost 3 months old from Newegg...

It helps if you don't get cheeto crumbs and mountain dew in your switches

I don't believe I've posted here before, but I figure I might as well.

I have four mechs sitting in front of me, and I have four more in the mail/in production as I'm typing this. I'm afraid that I have a problem, and that I'm going to have to stop it before I head back to school, or it could become serious. As I'm looking to be an engineering student though, hopefully I'll be able to design and build my own boards here in the next year or two. That would be awesome!

It's just an old stereotype. These days you can actually get parts. But 15 years ago, all my friends that had model Ms had at least 2... for springs and caps LOL

For springs and caps. Caps are a no brainer, and I already mentioned the springs, so what's your point? It isn't a stereotype, at least, not the way that I phrased it.

Hey man, I was making a joke about buying 2. It's an old stereotype. And I was using it as stereotype.

Will only use mechanical keyboards (now only if laptops came with them) Started of with buckling springs and really do like them, just really wanted a ten keyless of those but its just the nature of how the thing is designed. Right now for a couple years I've been using a CM storm with MX blues, nice but I think when its time for me to buy another I'm getting a WASD with browns for less click.
