Should LTT do a Twitch live stream during office hours? They don't have to set it up to show anything or even play to the cam but make it more like a surveillance camera live stream. I think it would get a ton of viewers just wanting to see the day to day iner workings of LTT.

What was the reason? They don't have to store any of the footage or really do much of anything. Doesn't even have to be quality.

Just showing general office work all day would be bad for security and other secrecy (upcoming videos), but it would be cool to show some things, perhaps filming As Fast as Possible or b-roll.

For one, it would only bee interesting for a day. If you like Big Brother and other such pure reality content, then fine. But I don't. And you need certain kind of people who are comfortable with cameras being rolling all the time. I'm fine with current behind-the-scenes videos we do get.

Lol guys really? a surveillance camera is even used to hang in top secret locations if its been lifestreamed and thief starts to investigate the company if they see "Linus Media Group" and plan to break in later when they suspect nobody's there because well yeah they already know all the Surveillance camera locations awell they know where people hang out the most and try slip in somehow cus Google is a huge pile of information for good and bad people if you don't think before broadcasting your company with EXPENSIVE SERVERS & Technology not to mention the server room is closeby the garage they can easily get in if they are lucky not being CLOSED. Needs more security than just a simple camera in my opinion i'd would install some kinda sensor system when somebody tries to break in you sound atleast some alarm and know the place is secured have no time to take out important servers & more.

 

And at last Office hours arent always that colorful there is some work being done aswell editors & stuff they need their pivacy it wouldnt be intresting enough, trust me... and they'll have to like blur all Monitors because of the private content.

 

Now a days sneaky thiefes are really active in Company's like this and like those industry zones with empty work space in development is just what they want... the security is quite low go there investigate as a normall person like notthing happends go back at home search company information adress and stuff is even OPEN too see at some Website LinusMediaGroup created. 

 

Be lucky there hasnt been a real robbery i'd install sensors and close doors while not being in the open space in the editing room OFFICES... or atleast close the Server room, lol...

 

I know the camera's give alert... not  quite enough if they cut the power xD

Because, as mentioned above:

 

1. Nondisclosure Agreements, they cant be seen testing the latest brand new Phone / Case / Motherboard / GPU etc and streaming their office might leak upcoming launches.

 

2. Security, if you want to rob LTT (and a fair few people know the location). Having a permanent stream of the inside of the office is surely a helpful tool.

 

3. Privacy, can I stream your bedroom?

There would be no privacy left, everything they said would be broadcasted to the world so they can never say what they truly want, if they are working with a product that has not released yet.. They can't and overall this is just useless.

I get the idea of this, and it'd be cool to be able to hop on twitch and have a look at how things are going at LMG (like having little tech hamsters in a computer, ha) but it wouldn't be very entertaining and the lack of any context would kill it. Not to mention the other problems that have been brought up.

Perhaps a permanent little steaming pc where anyone could go for a few mins and say hi to whoever is watching at that time... But that's just periscope, isn't it. They should periscope more. :P

Personal privacy isn't even that huge of an issue at this point to be honest - we're fairly used to cameras being pointed at us at any and all points throughout the day after the Moving Vlogs.
 

The main issues from my perspective are company secrets and NDA/embargoes.
