Haven't heard about it, link?

But I don't see a Dreamcast 2 happening now, just because of the financial troubles of SEGA (and I don't want it because I want Sonic games on PC)

I've found this about it: http://thegg.net/hot-news/the-sega-dreamcast-2-project-are-very-much-alive-say-hello-to-project-dream/ Not sure if that was what you were asking for tho.

Not exactly, as OP was talking about how there was a countdown on SEGA's website.. (Which there is none), but I guess it comes close.

I don't see SEGA doing the Dreamcast 2. What made the Dreamcast so revolutionary?

- Great graphics (for the time of course)

- It had online gameplay and an internet browser

- It had games like Sonic and Shenmue as well as a whole lot of other great exclusives

Yet.. Releasing a console with that sort of features.. Is like releasing a regular console. All consoles now have pretty good graphics (I know, not compared to PC.. yada yada), a lot better online than the Dreamcast and a whole lot of exclusives. What would make the Dreamcast 2 stand out?

IMO SEGA's own games are not console sellers and I would rather have good online on a console my friends have.. So.. I just don't see it happening

But of course it would be pretty awesome.

That could be it, but it's not from SEGA it seems. Seems like that kickstarter project you shared earlier

I have to say this is one pointless thread, why post something when it's not official? is this just click-bait or something? if this was real then it would be all over all the gaming news sites, it would probably even be trending on twitter and even the official sega.com forum would explode with posts, but alast it's not real, I mean if you take the whois info for that projectdream.co website it's registered to an hotmail.com email address, there is no way that is real, this is just yet another fake website like all the fake videos on youtube.

As it stands, today sega games are fragmented over so many devices, Android, iPad/iPhone, Nintendo DS/3DS, PC Download, PlayStation 3/4/Network, Wii/U, Xbox 360/One.
