My CoWorker is an old fart, who makes up a shit ton stories about his past years at different jobs. Which are obviously not true. He also forgets that he said something, and says he didn't say it. He also repeats everything you say to him and then answers you. He also thinks you are arguing with him and gets mad when you're just trying to troubleshoot a problem. He also talks for hours on end. He is also a pervert...

Yeah... I am pretty good at holding my patience with him I'd say. 

A new employee here couldn't stand him for more than 3 weeks and quit.

Nothing to really say to HR. Even if I did say anything, they are best friends, and they would never fire him. Until he retires of course. Which, hopefully that's next year :)
