I just want to see what your guys's opinions are on certain overclocking software. I personally use MSI Afterburner right now, but I plan to try out some other stuff (Precision X).

Precision X because outside of configuring a custom BIOS, K-Boost is the only thing that makes my 970 function properly. Otherwise it crashes constantly, because GPU Boost is terrible and does not work properly, constantly providing insufficient voltage for the clocks, regardless of overclocked or not.

 

If I wasn't able to keep my 970 under 68c, I'd have to configure a custom BIOS, because no matter what you do that's where GPU Boost will start undervolting.

 

MSI AB does not have this feature.

Used to use asus GPU tweak, then it bugged out and stopped working properly

So i switched to afterburner and its way better, more stable and more adjustments  :)

Its the official version of Afterbuner for the Lighting/Hawk cards for doing Extreme Overclocking i.e. LN2

I use ASUS GPU tweak.

MSi afterburner broke my card. Twice.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I use EVGA Precision X because this works just fine with my GPUs lets me handle my profiles the way I want and like it, and doesn´t give me any issues when I have modded a BIOS of GPU when I want to try it afterwards. And besides that I love EVGA I guess hehe ;).

It locked my Gpu to either 888 or 333 Mhz. only way to fix was to reinstall drivers.

OHH damn, i thought it somehow physically killed your card like forced a +9000 voltage or something... oh well, at least you got something working for you now :)

I use MSI afterburner to find my overclocks, and then I set them in Catalyst Control Center as CCC allows different settings for each card when using crossfire. I also don't like running more programs than nessasary so this way I don't have to allow Afterburner to start with Windows.
