What should I ask for for Christmas?

iamdarkyoshi

Do not start a religious flame war. Please. Christmas trees are explosively combustible.

My parents asked me to send them links to stuff...

Do not suggest dragon dildos, I will kill you over the internet.

My current build is in my signature.

I bought three 144hz 1080p monitors, so I am set on audio, displays, and storage. KB/mouse are not fancy, but they still work. I do have a pretty small steam library...

I do need a soldering station and old o-scope but they are expensive...

Probably some china cheapies from ebay like protoboards, electronics components, and pc parts... maybe?

Also not sure what I buy for the others. Grandma gets a new fire tablet, not sure what to do for parents.

I always send this out around the holiday season.

I am conducting some polls regarding your opinion of large technology companies. I would appreciate your response.

I'm using this data to judge this site's biases so people can post in a more objective way.

No dragon dildos? How about horse/dog/wolf dildos from the same site you'd probably get the dragon ones from? ;) Jokes aside:

For yourself; You should upgrade your mouse and keyboard. Sure, they work, but they're used probably more than 80% of the time you use your computer. It's a pretty big part of the ~experience~. New headphones, perhaps? AKG K240s are cheap and relatively nice (in my experience), or you could get AT-M50xs. In regards to storage; maybe time to start getting together a NAS?

Perhaps for your parents, a Chromecast and/or a sound bar for their TV? They're not too expensive on Amazon and the Chromecast is only $35.

I setup the Tv with a roku and surround sound already. I did the shelves and wiring runs :)

Our mediaserver got bitlocker'ed and so I am going to rebuild that...

Christmas isn't about getting presents. Its about celebrating the birth of Jesus. So salvation is the best thing to ask for :)

I'm not sure if you're just going for the dedicated trolelele, or not. Religion has nothing to do with it for this thread. Christmas not being about gifts or otherwise doesn't mean people won't still give gifts.

Didn't know Roku supported surround sound; neat. RIP the server, and best of luck rebuilding the mediaserver.

Christmas also isn't about bitching about some guy's birth in a crib.

A soldering station...

It's my practice to get stuff (i.e. tools, devices, cash for larger investments) that I need from Christmas presents...

Maybe you can get a Spiderman Triple Penetration Blaster?

Okay time for me to stop shitposting lol

I would get a soldering station, since you tend to solder often.
