I wouldn't grab anything, I have everything precious backed up online and I don't care about posessions at all.

My own health and safety over any wealth.

Insurance will cover everything too.

Oh, I'd get my cat safe, and my family yes.

If I can keep my harddrives, then I'm pretty much good. That is what is truly important to me.

Basically this.

I cannot, however, begin to imagine how degrading losing everything like that would be. You'd basically lose your home, possessions, lifestyle; your identity as a person would be eradicated. You'd have to rebuild from scratch. Sounds awful.

I'd grab a fire extinguisher ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I've got home insurance. I'd be able to get a better apartment if this one burned down

Having an external backup outside of your house ( cloud ) is a good idea despite the fact your data could be insecure.

I keep a lot of important documents on google docs, but I have important files on my mac.

But honestly with all of this, if I can't get my mac or PC out, idgaf. Getting my family and pets out is way more important.

Insurance can cover my PC and other expensive electronics, but it can't cover my family or my snugglemonster (It's my puppy, check my profile pic)

Hrrm, from most important to least:

Passport > Plastic bag full of memories (letters, high school graduation ticket, more random tickets) > Storage (USB, HDD, SSD) > Laptop > Desktop > Peripherals > my bed (jk)

Hm, memories definitely.
