Upgrade? No. Add alongside, yes.

Replace the HDD? Certainly. The HDD is a backup. I would swap the jobs of the 830 and 850, 850 as OS and games, and the 830 for other things. My HDD is literally just crammed in the only availible place to put it...

I don't really understand massdrop. This ssd can be had for between $150-$190 usually with free shipping.

Sometimes there are good deals

I'll be honest, this is a horrible deal on massdrop. You can find it for 150 all the time on newegg.

I'm a student currently attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, if you attend or around there please don't hesitate to contact me!

Massdrop takes for freaking ever to get anything done anyway, one minute "expected shipping date: 5 days from now" nek minit "oh sorry guys, shipping from the manufacturer has been delayed, eta is now one month from the previous estimate". so in the end sure, you pay a little less, but at the heavy cost of extreme waiting times and inconvenience. And before people go "psst there's Amazon" of course I know there's Amazon but a lot of it doesn't ship to Australia.

I ordered a mionix castor god knows how long ago and was really keen for it, but then it just took so. freaking. Long. To post that when it arrived 3 days ago I was wondering why I didn't just look into the g502 instead where I could've got it immediately.

I'm not gonna wait another 2 months just to get an ssd at something like $20 off, and as others have said you can find similar if not better deals other places online anyway.

And on top of that they usually jack up the msrp to make it look like the deal you're getting is actually better when it really isn't.

Even in Australia the 500gb model with no deals whatsoever is 250aud (~180usd).

Home is where the heart my desktop is.

I do that too, managed to convince a Best Buy to price match their in-store only and got a 70'' Sharp 4k for $1497.

This drive is $169 on Amazon right now. Don't have to wait forver for the deal to "drop."

Massdrop almost never has any good deals.

Seriously.

The only thing I have bought from Massdrop is the "Inked and Screened Print" of the Les Paul patent.

Have it framed next to my amp and case. Love it. Other than that, there hasn't been anything appealing for me.
