I say there constricting, but I ain't talking about my damn nuts, if that were the case nobody who was a man would ever wear them. More my entirety below my waist. I have a few pair because my girlfriends and admittedly my mother buy them for me. They just aren't comfortable for me. That said I am 6'3-4 and I have large calves and thighs.

Are men's skinny jeans actually tight all the way up to the crotch area? I thought they would be a bit loose over there.

I know, right?! Women pants are either pocketless or they have useless pockets.

Well I don't wear skinny jeans, because I can't..

But if people like them, just let them wear it.

Off topic: I have seen people use "where" and "were" instead of wear. Come on, how can you make such mistakes :P (or it was just auto correct..)

I don't wear skinny jeans but have in the past, but as a road cyclist I do wear lycra. There is no comparison between flexible skintight sportswear and skinny jeans, which are thicker and made of denim which is far less flexible.

Also, I can no longer wear them because they crush my large cyclist thighs, not that that's a bad thing as I much prefer straight or tapered jeans.

Is there any benefit to wearing lycra other than inducing vomiting from the person in the car behind you?

For some people it is perfectly acceptable to wear the stuff.

But when you see some wobbly cellulite ridden arse sway from side to side as some godawful troll of a human lumbers along on a racing bike.. Ergh...

Improved aero over looser clothing, therefore allowing for faster pace. It does work as well, in jeans and a t shirt I'm measurably slower than in Lycra over a distance, and even in a short sprint it helps. It might look bad, but it does help. But only if the person isn't a fat arse, or a MAMIL. I can get away with it, being a skinny guy, but mid life crisis cyclists should leave lycra well alone.

Agreed

I can't even get most slimmer fitting jeans over my calves.

Fuck to the skinny jeans. Can't personally understand why you would want jeans that tight....

I wear straight or slim jeans. I hate skinny as they don't allow for any movement. I don't understand the fascination for both genders, really. But that's just me, and I don't really go along with fashion trends.

It took me a second to understand this. The image it gave was quite horrifying.
