Happens to me every so often. Only do it for a few days if you feel it is needed. After like 3 days try and slow down since it will beckme a habit. Do you find yourself being more tired recently always? May be hitting a growth sport.

I'm lucky, I can eat all I want and not gain anything. Fast metabolism ftw. You could be suffering from boredem eating. When i get bored and have nothing to do I eat. Find something constructive to put your time into, building something is usually a great idea, or even playing a game. If you dedicate your time to somewhere else you will forget to eat because you are too intrigued about what you are currently doing.

 

If this is not the case maybe do some sport. I don't mean join a team, you can if you want to, but going out with your friends and kicking a ball around, playing frisbee or throwing a ball is a great way to have fun and exercise at the same time.

While it IS NOT advisable, smoking helps control hunger cravings. Again, not something I would suggest AT ALL. Even though I'm a two pack a day smoker.

 

By chance, do you take any kind of ADD or ADHD medications? When I was younger, I took them (I was prescribed them. Not one of those morons that takes them to get high), and during the day (when I was on them) I would not be hungry for most of the day, then at night I would absolutely pig out.

 

One important thing to note, it isn't necessarily how much you eat, as much as it is what you eat, and whether or not you burn it off. Technically speaking, if you eat a balanced meal, with meats and fruits and veggies and carbs, you're fine as long as you get some exercise to burn off the calories. Back when me and my sister were going to the gym, she hired a personal trainer. She tried telling me that I needed to eat less than I am. I asked her personal trainer "do I need to eat less, if I am trying to get more muscle-y instead of just losing fat", and he said "no, you need plenty of protein and vitamins".

 

Food is fuel, too much fuel and not enough burning fuel makes you fat.

This is the opposite of me rn. I take a bite and I feel full. Before I could down a box of Cheese its in a sitting, but now my veins pop out of my skin on my hands. It's not like I'm anorexic or anything. I feel like I need to throw up at the end of most meals. Sometimes I can't even think about food without going eew.

Usually it happens to me after i run, i experience what's known as a runner's high, which is kinda like being high on drugs bc of the fact you tend to eat a lot.

so for some reason i cant stop eating recently. its not like im "hungry" i just need to keep eating i guess. ive been gaining weight really quickly and i dont really know what i can do to stop it. does anyone have any suggestions?

Keep yourself busy. I lost around 35kg (111 -> 76) on my last year of college since I practically lived there while doing my thesis. I've unfortunately gained back 4kg after I graduated since I'm pretty much at my home 24/7 studying, eating, sleeping. 

 

It's very common for people to eat out of boredom since you barely think of anything and a small crave/though of food would easily manipulate you into eating.

Do something to keep you busy, go outside. And if you really can't control it eat some fruit or vegetable, or maybe a yogurt.

I don't think that's true unless you are already smoking, in that case if you stop you'll crave for food a lot more, but still I don't smoke so I can't confirm.

As for OP

Just exercise or try to find healthy things to binge on when the urge arises.

 

Kinda miss that about puberty. I could eat two or three plates full at dinner some days.

Now that i've started gaining weight as i eat i have to keep track of what i eat... Growing older can go to hell
