I´m looking for a AMD gpu with the power of a 970 or higher for gaming, since there are more monitors available with freesync than gsync

Wow thanks for the fast responses! Im gonna try a 1440p monitor, 25 or 27¨ with a final goal of playing fallout 4 on very high settings once its released. Think I´ll have a chance with these cards??

390 is better than a 970 in most games. If R9 390x fits your budget, it's a great buy too.

i'm tired of disproving the resolutions thing, because puush is too dang slow to keep finding the dang screenshot.

 

take in mind theres more to a GPU than just horses, and i'd gladly pay a bonus for those horses to output less heat.

390x is a bit slower porefmrance wise then the 980 unless you want the Vram to be the upper edge

390 is better amd counterpart and 2x+VRAM for 1440p and crossfire scales better than sli so w of 390 or 390 and a 390x will be like 980ti or better with same price

hahaha, this isn't a difference that you'd notice, maybe 10$ more in a 1 year period of time of usage?

It should draw about 330W under peak system load while 970 draws abour 300W or so. Not much of a difference, the R9 3xx series is improved compared to the 2xx series in terms of temperatures and power draw, get the 390
