On-Screen Recording Software (Free & for Windows)

I want to start a handy 'tips and tricks' YouTube channel for all things Windows and Windows Phone/Mobile and I was thinking about doing on-screen recordings with voice-overs. It makes sense to ask a tech community on their thoughts. Please do leave suggestions on some programs I could use (ones that don't leave watermarks). Vince out!

MSI Afterburner is a great screen recorder. Not sure for a Windows Phone however.

OBS

I use this setup, great for recording, but it creates huge files. To counter this, I use HandBrake afterwards to compress the video, with little to no loss.
