Asus ROG GTX 980Ti Matrix edition confirmed?

The ROG Matrix GTX 980 Ti is the fastest GM200-310-based graphics card from Asus, which is based on a custom PCB with two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. The card features a stronger digital 14-phase VRM that utilizes concrete-core chokes, solid-state black metallic capacitors and hardened MOSFETs.

Ugh, what is with ASUS and putting two different fans on GPUs? it looks off-putting, to me at least...

 

Yeah, it looks weird. But it's probably a power thing. Stronger fan needed for the GPU than the memory?

Never seen why people are so hyped about these ultra high-end cards. 

Because they buy them, and the 980 Ti isn't ultra high end like the Titan X or quadros. 980 Ti is a consumer card, a top 1% consumer card to be sure.

i'm not talking about the companies, but the consumers. 

 

i'm talking about high-end cards like the EVGA kingpin. Not sure why you're talking about  quadros when it has nothing to do with the topic.

I am actually tempted to get two 980ti's from Asus instead of EVGA.  The only reason being the now automated process for these cards.  That and I like the look of the 20th Annie.  Two of those with the Extreme 6 / 9 from Asrock for Z170, because that bronze/gold.

But we do know. I dont see most of the cables in my rig but I still like them neat and tidy, same principle.

 

I like things to be symmetrical. Having two different fan designs seems like a really crappy design choice to me.

Asus cards look great, but are very expensive and lately very lackluster in performance.

Price > OC > Looks
