Going to split up my 970's into my wife's and kid's rigs and pickup a 980ti hybrid.

I'll be replacing my video card most likely. It was migrated from my older system. Though I do want to invest in a nice monitor (or two), as mine are both used and only have DVI.

the whole thing. I will be rebuilding the whole thing, will probably keep the CPU, RAM, and my HDD. But the rest is getting replaced as soon as I have the cash.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

980Ti, Skylake i7, 16GB DDR4, 280MM RAD H110i GTX, Curved 3440x1440 IPS G-Sync 144Hz monitor with height adjustment and vesa support ( ever, if anyone makes it ).

As far as performance goes, I need an SSD. I need a 1080p monitor. I need a mechanical keyboard. I need anything faster than my Athlon 750k, which would mean a totally new motherboard, too.

 

But at this point it'd be better to just hold off and wait until I can build a new system before I upgrade anything else, because monies.

Hmm, hard one. 

I have two options, I'm starting to run out of space on my collection of hard rives, but 8GB RAM has started to become a real bottleneck in my system now. 

 

I'll probably buy both at the same time (please let RAM and HDD's / SSD's be on sale Amazon).

I still need to replace my SSD, get a modular power supply, four or five fans, and move it all into a new case before my build is properly "finished". But I'd prefer to upgrade my monitor setup before anything else. Trying to multitask on a single monitor is torture.

I just finished my build, But i keep having this itch to upgrade my gpu every couple weeks to the next model.  I started with a 750ti, and im at a 970 now after 2 months lol. 

 

Otherwise, I need to replace this loud shaky corsair fans on my rad

Definitely a monitor, I just don't know what I want. Gsync or a ultrawide or 1440p or 4k etc way too many options :( Also need to buy better dust filters for the 450D. The ones that came with the case are way too coarse and letter more dust than usual.
