What are you going to replace/upgrade in your system next?

Maaaaaybe second SSD, but my main priority is the Hybrid kit from EVGA... but given their availability, it may take a lifetime of waiting :(

A new cooler, some additional ram, and a new monitor (hopefully, but unlikely a Dell U2410)

Normandy - Intel Core i5 3470, 8 GB Corsair Vengenace LP, EVGA GTX 960 SSC, Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H-MVP, WD Blue 1 TB, Seagate 320 GB (steam), Seagate 320 GB (experimental, second OS, etc), Windows 8.1 + Ubuntu 14.10

Garrus - HP Stream 11

See my sig for primary upgrade: the reference EVGA 970!

Otherwise that's it....

I suppose it'd be nice to have a K65 RGB Brown with a Bulldog for HTPC usage.... But my BlackWidow Ultimate serves me well, and I have no huge reason to throw it out.

Only thing that's left is to install Win 10 on my blank SSD (Win 7 install went bad when I first got it)

I don't have the money for a new PC, RAM usage is mostly fine (6-ish gigs out of 8), HDD's only halfway full, I have an i7-3770, so upgrading to a new CPU would mean a new mobo. And I can't get a new CPU cooler due to case clearance....

One day I will have my GTX 970. One day. PC specs are at my profile.

Not sure how to check what part works with what? Check out my compatibility guide!

Try to get EVGA to send me a new 970. It's got weird artifacting  and god-awful coil whine. I doubt I'll get a refund with the coilwhine alone. Shadows for example on pretty much all games, regardless of updates, OS, graphic settings, driver version, etc. will have weird jagged edges. Alpha textures behave oddly in some games. Random graphical glitches, etc..

After that, not really anything I need. Maybe moar ram. Maybe a second 970.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
