It's so hot!

And i refuse to use Celsius because Fahrenheit is the superior scale

Of course. It's so awesome that you can't calibrate a thermometer to the Fahrenheit scale without using the Celsius or Kelvin scale.

let's do some math.

my CPU tops out at 40 oC currently when only downloading and playing youtube songs

outside is 34 oC

my room is roughly 27 oC

CPU/room temprature diffrence: 13 oC

CPU/outside temprature diffrence: 6 oC

damn.. that's pretty cool...

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

I do agree that at certain things imperial system is easier to use (like measuring display sizes for example), but temperature isn't one of them.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

TBH, i kinda want the metric system. America always wants to be "different" from the rest of the world. If anything, I propose that they create a new system, mixing metric and imperial together, but i just picture that with chaos.

Personally I dont see how Imperial is better than Metric.

I don't see any advantages in ease of use in the Imperial system over the Metric system.

To me, the Imperial system makes much more sense. It's really easy to for example convert m to mm. It's just about how many 'steps' you have to take on the 'ladder' (same with liters to cl and even with cubic or squared meters to other values).

The imperial system is easier when you work with cars.

How so? (genuinely curious, not trying to start an argument)

There's a name for the mixture of metric and imperial systems. That chaos is called "United Kingdom".

But the Brits have a point: imperial is easier to use in some things, where measuring things in metric would be awkward. So while metric is mostly superior, imperial has it's place. Not trying to spark an argument here, as this thread is about hot temperatures, am I right?

bloody hell, i can baerly stand the 37 we had yesterday! how do you guys survive? direct watercooling on your organs?

I'll quote my earlier post here:

If the temperature would stay the same all year around with little to no fluctuations, then almost anything between -50°C and 50°C would be copable for humans. The problem is the fluctuation in temperature. When there's not a lot of it during a year, you don't mind it. But our temperatures (referring to the person I quoted) vary usually between -25°C and +25°C, that's a 50°C temperature variance during a year, which can be uncomfortable. On desert environments this can happen within a day: the temperature can go from +50°C to bellow 0°C between day and night. Either way, not fun.

Underlined the part that's relevant. Of course this varies from person to person, it can be very subjective thing, but the basic principle is this.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
